When I get home my first post will be
Sitting at the Wino and Soused table.....or is it sauced?
Menu: steak, braised veggies (zucchini, sweet red peppers, potatoes..yum)
cheesecake, yum yum, or chocolate confection ( traded chocolate for cheesecake with my friend)
Dry red and white wines, iced tea, water, coffee
LOUD music and crowd - glad I did not take my hearing aids

Food, good. Desserts, yummy. Beverages, fine. Loud music and crowds - glad I was sweating in the yard. :)
Looking forward to the Wino and Soused table post.
Sounds like you're having a great time! I love the cheesecake, too. Looking forward to reading more about it.

Yum indeed.
NW-1...what kind of people are you hanging out with? The soused table...I can't wait!! LOL I've been to some conventions that were boring as all get out...but don't remember many souses. At least you are well hydrated and got all the good desserts. It is still hot as hades here....however, that is just a guess on my part. :)
Tried to leave comment, don't think it made it.
To all of you, my friend and I avoided winos and soused today. Food abounded with a buffet breakfast and a luncheon of Chicken alouette (don't ask-I don't know), noodles alfredo, spinach salad (mostly spinach, 3 tiny tomatoes and a few croutons), ww roll, mini bundt chocolate cake with whipped cream, ice tea, coffee NO booze, but happy hour this evening provided by ENTERGY (I'd preferred a credit on my electric bill) was super buffet with coconut chicken, giant shrimp, huge platters of fresh fruit, cookies, and lemon squares (YUM, friend and I split one). We had CokeCola, but we could have had beer to mixed drinks. PASSED all. We attended three workshops: one was a hilarious skit of dumb mistakes public officials make.
Tomorrow more food--breakfast buffet and luncheon; then drive home.
Sounds like you used much more control that I would have. You go girl. I see my first comment didn't make it but your comment answered my questions.
What is with power companies sponsering anything. My former company in Florida sponsers baseball games. Why?
Keep having fun.
