Bees, Butterflies and Flowers

Purple Coneflower/Bee
Find the Bees and Butterflies: my lense does not allow me a closer position which would scare the flitting, skittish creatures away. I need a 2 or 3x converter or a true MACRO .... dream on.

Purple Coneflower/Bee
I followed the same bee around the Coneflower patch???

Beautiful. My cone flowers are late bloomers this year. And there are few insects to work on them.

The flower that was here wasn't removed. I think PhotoBucket had a problem. In any event, I put it back again.

Excellent shots. the bee is beautiful and a great closeup. I suppose you could crop the pic and then the bee would look closer. Nah!!!
Great pics of the Coneflowers. MB

These are NOT marcro?? If you can take pics this sharp and detailed, me thinks you probably don't need a macro, LOL they're incredibly sharp!

I miss bees. Lately I only see bumble bees enjoying the clover when I mow. I do hope the honey bees make a comeback.
Good capture on the butterflies. I am just not quick enough.

I have Purple Cone Flowers but not yet so nice and developed as you have. I am still looking for butterflies when I am able to get outside.

I really love the new look and feel of your blog.

Have I mentioned that before? If not I meant to.

Beautiful pics. My sweet hubby gave me a new camera today for our 40th anniversary. It's a NIKKON D5000. I am technology challenged so sure hope I can learn to work this thing! I hope to get some new lenses as time goes on. I love your coneflowers! Mine were just beginning to grow and the dang rabbits have eaten every leaf. Those rabbits aren't nearly as cute as they once were!!!!
