Time-out For Shopping!

OOPS! THIS POST FOR WEDNESDAY IS NULL AND VOID. I AWOKE WITH GASTROINTESTINAL DISTRESS, NOT CONDUCIVE TO AUTO TRAVEL ON CURVY ROADS! NOT SURE IF THIS IS A VIRUS OR THE RESULT OF MY THERAPEUTIC DOSES OF IRON (symptoms are the same). WE MAY TRY AGAIN TOMORROW AFTER A SCHEDULED APPT WITH LOCAL PHYSICIAN.

Time-out for shopping!

Only if living in a rural, remote area, like the Arkansas Ozark hills and mountains, do you appreciate the joy of a shopping trip to a city with multiple choices.

Today, Jan 13, husband (H) and I are traveling to Branson to shop the outlet malls (3) and maybe a different Walmart Super Center!

We both are looking for footwear. H wants some warmer boots and shoes than he has purchased at the local WalMart. I am interested in some walking shoe replacements in the Easy Spirit brand.

There were two Easy Spirit outlet stores last time I was in Branson. Surely one remains. After two knee prostheses implants, I was advised to only wear walking shoes--not a thing of beauty, but definitely comfortable. I usually buy 4 pairs, in assorted colors. It has been nearly six years since I have purchased shoes.

There are Easy Spirit, Rockport, Nike, Reebock, RedWing, SAS and many other brands of shoe outlets, so I should not have any problem, other than the vast amount of walking. These outlet malls are huge. Branson has three: The Shoppes at Branson Meadows, Factory Merchants Mall, and Tanger Factory Outlet.

As a child I loved to go to a shoe store. Dad usually took me shopping for shoes. It was fun as it was about the only time he shared with me alone.

I'll report back Friday.

Uh oh! Hope your tummy is better soon.

I've been playing catch up with your posts. Glad your water is running again. H and the plumber are to be commended for sticking it out in the frigid temperatures.

It's not quite so cold down here, but I leave the water trickling every night, and probably will do so until the night time temps no longer fall below 30 degrees.

Stay warm! Get well soon.

Last time my daughter was here, she needed some boots that would hold up in muddy ground, so she went to the Tracter Supply Store here in town. She found some really nice, sturdy boots. And, my son discovered that they have a large supply of jeans in all sizes. I would never have thought of shopping there for those items.

Hope you feel better soon. Enjoy Branson!

We must have comfortable shoes, bar the cost.

Oh, dear, hope you're feeling better!

We had 45 and lots of sunshine, so I was out lunching and shopping. It was fun.

Take care, Carol!

Aww, I sure hope you tummy is settled by now. Our roads with infrequent stopping places and constant curves really take the fun out of a trip with GI problems. Hope you are all better now.
I know the thrill of Branson shopping. Usually a group of us go and make a day of it. The variety after shopping in a small town is almost overwhelming.
I also primarily go for shoes as I have crappy feet. Rockports used to do the trick but even the discontinued styles I loved are no longer available. For now Reebok are keeping my feet happy.

Happy shoe shoppin' in the Outlet Malls. Hope ya'll wore a comfy pair 'cause you'll have a lot of walking goin' on. You'll be exactly 90 miles from the Ponderosa while your there.

Hope your tummy is feelin' better. Maybe stopin' by a Fudge shop will help! MMmm chocolate, the best medicine in the world!

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

I vote for the most comfortable shoes. I wear Crocs around here and esp. when working in the yard. I noticed the other day I'd run down to Wal-Wart with the durn things on. I love them for the comfort and my podiatrist told me to wear them while I have tendonitis in my foot...which is most of the time.

Hope you are feeling much better by now and will be able to go out shopping if now tomorrow, then soon.
