Heading Home

We are heading home Wednesday, hopefully in relatively dry conditions. Maybe all the drains everywhere will be emptied for the next round scheduled for Thursday--hope the weatherman is wrong!!!

Maybe there will be a tad of autumn color still left, but we'll just enjoy a little less moisture.

We already have a few problems at home facing us but I think they will be welcomed, under the circumstances.

Husband's hearing has seriously deteriorated from a year ago. However, it could be far worse things at our age. We have to return Nov. 26, the day before Thanksgiving--guess we'll be spending Thanksgiving Day in Little Rock!

Don't leave early, the fog is bad, at least here it is. Have a safe and uneventful return.
Hope your hubby can get aids to help with his hearing. They are such brutally expensive things.
Be well.

It doesn't seem like a good time to be on the road. Take care.

At least you won't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner for a change. I'm with Carol about staying in Hot Springs and eating at the Arlington? is that it? I can't remember.

Take care driving. Get set for another round of RAIN. ugh..I never thought I'd be tired of rain, but I'm nearing my limit.

We arrived home safely about 12:45 p.m. after swinging into Mountain Home for Luckie. No rain; fog only around Clinton and Buffalo RIV. SUNSHINE WHEN WE ARRIVED HOME!!!

Fortunately as 100% disabled veteran Husband,s hearing aids are "free" in that they are owned by the VA who also provide all batteries.

I paid for mine and opted for digital but Not high end model. I will tell you having them and struggling with them (my hearing loss is moderate his "profound" their word) helps me understand his dislike. In a crowd you hear but do not understand anything. It is so annoying. You began to wonder qhy bother--you couldn't understand anything before!!

I'll let husband chose where he wants to eat. He is the underweight one. I suspect we will stay in LR and come home Friday. I'll miss BLACK FRIDAY shopping, but last few years has not been significant anyway.

Well, today wasn't too bad and the sun did come out in the afternoon, so I'm glad you got home okay. For tomorrow around here, weather forecast is for torrents of rain, and again Friday, and part of Saturday. Enough already! We still have a lot of color though, but I am tired of the rain.

Thank goodness my hearing isn't too bad yet. But isn't getting old fun? Oh, well, it beats the alternative.

Take good care!
